Mr. Briggs is a mining engineer with 20 years’ experience in the coal industry and another 15 years in project financing with CBA which included advising on numerous coal and related infrastructure projects and for the last 3 years leading the mining senior debt global team. He has broad operational experience on coal mines in South Africa, USA and Australia. He has worked for AEI Resources Inc (Kentucky), Cyprus Amax Coal Company (Colorado & Australia) and AMCOAL (South Africa). After jointly negotiating and completing the acquisition of the Foxleigh mine he was appointed the Interim CEO of Middlemount South, with management responsibilities for the Foxleigh operation until the end of February 2017.
Richard Rossiter BSc (Hons), MSc.Executive General Manager – Business Development
Mr. Rossiter began his career as a geologist in the South African gold industry. He subsequently qualified in mine management and held various production management and business development roles. He then joined the financial sector as a mining analyst and later was responsible for corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions and divestments. He then set up a consultancy and joined a number of public company boards including Sylvania Platinum Limited (AIM: SLP; 2007 - 2013) and more recently Chrometco Ltd (JSE: CMO). He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology from the University of Natal and a MSc in Mineral Exploration from Rhodes University in South Africa.
Theo Renard CA(SA), CSA.Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary
Mr Renard is a Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years experience in credit and relationship banking in commercial and investment banking with Nedcor in South Africa and Asia and ABN AMRO in Australia and Asia. He spent over two years as CFO and Company Secretary with a retail group with retail and manufacturing operations in Asia and the Subcontinent, during that time he was a Director of several of the listed companies and affiliates.

Ms. Armila, an Indonesian national, currently Managing Director Chatura, is an experienced resource lawyer having worked with both Indonesian and International law firms in this and other areas for 10 years. In addition to being admitted to practice law in Indonesia, Ms. Armila also holds post graduate degrees in law and business from an Australian university uniquely positioning her to advise the Company in its obligations and development. Prior to joining Teknix Capital as General Counsel in 2006, Ms. Armila practised law with international (DLA Piper) and Indonesian (AKHH and Hanafiah & Ponggawa) law firms. Her practice areas included corporate, investments, project finance, debt restructuring, merger and acquisition and natural resources. Her time at Teknix Capital further enhanced her skills in these areas, particularly in the area of resource law including particularly the new mining law.
