Mr Rosengren obtained a BEng (Mining, First Class Honours) from the University of Queensland in 1984. He was Queensland Rhodes Scholar for 1985. He attended Oxford University, completing a B Arts in 1987, and later obtained an MSc (Mineral Production Management) from the University of London in 1988. On returning to Australia, Mr Rosengren joined Mount Isa Mines, eventually becoming Enterprise Mine Manager. He then worked as Resident Manager on construction and operation of the Timbarra Gold Mine in NSW, followed by 18 months as General Manager with the Department of Environmental Protection in Western Australia.

In 2002, he became Operations Manager Mining, East Coast, with Henry Walker Eltin before moving to Thiess with roles as Executive Mining Manager – Queensland; General Manager – Queensland, across civil, building, mining and rail enterprises; and ultimately Executive General Manager for Australian Mining. Mr Rosengren joined BHP Billiton in 2011, with responsibility for Poitrel and South Walker Creek open cuts in Queensland.

In 2013 as Vice-President, Production, he was responsible for additional mines including Illawarra Coal, New Mexico Coal, Cerrejon and Indomet. He left BHP Billiton in late 2014 and since has worked in private companies and in consulting roles.

Chief Financial Officer 

Graham joined Realm Resources in July 2018 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He brings 40 years of experience to Realm, including executive and senior finance roles with ASX-listed and multi-national resources and professional services companies. Graham was CFO at Senex Energy Limited prior to Realm, and previously at Cardno Ltd, Macarthur Coal Limited, Site Group International and coal seam gas producer Arrow Energy.

Prior to returning to Australia in 2008 he spent eight years with BP in the United Kingdom and United States and six years with ARCO pre-merger with BP. In this time Graham focused on financial and operational performance reporting and management, multi-year financial systems upgrade projects, establishment of a global shared services model and several organisational restructure initiatives. He lived and worked in the United States (3 Years) and UK (8 years) with job assignments throughout Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Prior to moving to the US Graham worked at a central Queensland coal mine leading the commercial, finance and IT teams with joint accountability for site safety and security.

Graham offers extensive knowledge in the areas of corporate finance, governance, external affairs and business improvement. He is a Chartered Accountant with a Master of Business (Management) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Economics).


Tod Matthews

Tod Mathews

General Manager / SSE – Foxleigh

Tod joined Middlemount South in November 2017 and is a degree qualified mining professional with 25 years open cut experience. He has extensive operational, technical and strategic management experience encompassing, mine planning, operations, project delivery and business improvement.

Tod holds current Queensland Senior Site Executive (SSE) qualifications and has completed numerous Management and Leadership studies including Anglo American’s Advanced Management Program (Gordon Institute of Business Science - University of Pretoria).

Since 2000 he has held a variety of Senior Management roles within the Queensland Coal Industry for both owner operators and contract mining companies including Wesfarmers, BMA, Anglo American, Thiess and HSE Mining.
